Vision and Values

Vision (What we aim to become)

	A church committed to worship as described in John 4:24. God is spirit and those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth.
	A church committed to the mission that Jesus gives in Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
	A church committed to the mandate that Jesus gives in John 13:34 I give you a new commandment that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
	A church that's committed to function as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body...
	A church that is committed to growing disciples as outlined in Colossians 2:6-7 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith.
	A church that is committed to prayer 1 Thess 5:17 Pray continually

Core Values (How we are to function)

	We believe that lost people matter to God and therefore, ought to matter to the Church.
	We believe that the basis of church life is loving relationships between the people of the Church.
	We believe that each person who has received Christ has been given a gift, which is to be exercised in ministry for God, through the local congregation.
	We believe that no one can go it alone - each person needs each other and so we put an emphasis on meeting in small relational groups.
	We believe that each Christian needs to grow continually and yearn to mature in their relationship with the Lord. This is a normal characteristic of someone following Christ.
	We believe God has given us his best in his Son Jesus Christ so we will do our best in all that we do
	We believe that the way we do Church can change but the message of the Gospel is never compromised.
	We believe that our Church should be a fun, vibrant place to be.
