Community Connections

Community Connections (CC) was started by an interested group of members who arranged Party in the Park (now known as Party by the Lake) in 2001. Since then, Community Connections has undergone many changes and now focuses on any church event that has a community focus. This includes events such as the now cancelled Movie Nights, Jules Riding Concert, Christmas Carols and the Community Quiz night. Another event CC is helping to organize is the School Holiday Programme run in conjunction with Open Air Campaigners.

A small committed team organizes the evnts and arrnges for each part of the event to flow smoothly. Areas such as catering, sound, tables and other items are planned and organized. Once this is done, a group of church members is arranged to run the activity on the day / night.

CC Meetings are held as often as needed. This means that people's involvement can be targeted to a specific event. In the future we hope to have enough members who will have their own team speciality for the different events such as the "Party by the Lake team", Entertainments Evenings Team" and the "School Holiday Programme team"
