Whitby lakeside Baptist ChurchWelcome to Whitby Lakeside Baptist Church

Whitby Lakeside Baptist Church has been a member of the Baptist Union of New Zealand since 1994. Whitby is situated in Porirua City overlooking the beautiful Pauatahanui inlet. We hope you find this site of interest and find some of the answers you may have about our church.

We invite you to browse our Web site and if you would like to, to contact us.

Whitby Lakeside Baptist is a church which aims to serve both Christians and those who might consider themselves spiritual seekers. We try to make it a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions and simply want to check out Christianity without anyone pressuring them. It's also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth. For articles on spiritual growth visit our "Sermon Notes"

Youth Ministries

During term time, there is a dynamic Sunday morning programme for children catering for the various age groups. Our supervised crèche, run by rostered parents, begins their session at 10.15am. The preschoolers (3 & 4 year olds) join with crèche for age-related songs and activities and then continue their own programme in a separate area. Power House children (Years 1 – 6) start at 10.15am. Here they enjoy singing, games and Bible-based activities. Our high energy youth group "Solid" stay in Church for the entire service and meet weekly for cell groups and social activities. For more information on our youth ministries visit our "Kidz n Youth" page.
